1, duplex stainless steel features:
1. Corrosion resistance. Because the substrate of duplex stainless steel contains ferrite + martensite structure, it has good corrosion resistance. In a medium containing chloride ions, such as hydrogen chloride, the higher the concentration, the faster the corrosion rate. However, with the decrease of concentration, the corrosion rate will gradually decrease. At a concentration of 0.1%, almost no corrosion occurs. Therefore, the use of two-phase steel is an ideal choice for media containing a large number of chloride ions.
2. Excellent mechanical properties:
Compared with common austenite, it has higher yield strength and good plasticity. In addition, due to the high malleability of the material, it can be machined into a variety of shapes, including complex internal and external shapes, and can be welded.
3. Good Traits:
Because of the martensitic structure in the material, the material has good cold formability and weldability.
4. Anti-fatigue strength:
Due to the martensitic structure of the material, it has strong fatigue strength.
5. High temperature resistance:
Because the material's composition contains high chromium, it will not be oxidized or seriously contaminated by molten metal at high temperatures.
6. Good weldability and plasticity.
